There is no way a poor or middle class man accused of rape could afford to hire a good attorney and fund the investigation needed to defend against a rape charge. Any rape charge. Kobe has the bucks. Therefore the incompetent police of Eagle County are exposed. The DNA lab tests are exposed. The lack of physical damage to the vicious "rapist" is now exposed. The fact that the "victim" changed her story is now exposed.
