While Bill Quick's new "system" isn't up and running full bore, the guy who said he was going to "lighten up" on the blog is blogging 50% more. This is a good link to start, basically Fisking the Firefighter lay offs in the Bay Area in preference for "arts", "music", and other Lefty entertainment. So we get to listen to the music of Bach and Hayden while our apartments burn to the ground. I'd only point out that the number of firefighters is like insurance, most of the time you don't need either. I've never been burned out so I've never needed the fire department. When huge fires like the ones that just hit SoCal break out you need every firefighter in the State. All budgets should be looked at. Read the whole thread because it's interesting.
