Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburg Steeler rookie QB, has the top selling jersey in the NFL. FSW was interviewing Ben: "I just happened to be watching ‘Cops’ the other day, and I saw a black guy getting arrested in your jersey." A black guy? I mean you could be as big as Paris Hilton some day, Ben.
The Ratings for the BCS bowl games are a near disaster especially when compared to the old format. This BCS bullshit is something only wanted by a bunch of sports writers with nothing to talk about on their radio or cable shows and in their worthless columns. The name of all games is money. Look for a return to the old system. The problem with this disconnected season is that there is no local interest without a near local team. Nobody in SoCal was interested in seeing either Texas or Michigan do anything. Nobody in Florida was interested in seeing either USC or Oklahoma, unless one of them faced a SEC team. And it is easier to sell a conference rivalry around the country than conning the people in Chicago to watch USC vs Oklahoma. USC vs Michigan in the Rose Bowl would have resulted in huge ratings (all the cities in the Pac Ten and all the cities in the Big 10) as would USC vs Auburn in the Orange Bowl or Oklahoma vs Auburn in the Orange. Late Add: via the very very local Sports by Brooks---USC-OU tickets would have cost you only $10 at game time. I thought I saw some vacant seats on TV. There were a lot more than a few.
Blacks; who needs them? When you look at the Ohio election challenge---it's mostly black. This raises the question: does the Democratic Party have a chance as long as Left Wing Blacks hold so much power within the party? Sure they found a token white, Socialist Bernard Sanders, and the dumbest politician on the planet---white or black---Barbara Boxer, to join with them. Sorry to say this, but the IQ level of the Black Democrats is golf handicap. Nobody anywhere honestly respects their opinions other than for a photo op.
