REAL MOVEMENTS START FROM THE BOTTOM UP

There is a similarity between child weaning and political movements in America. Look at the similar developments of the Right to Life and the movement to increase diversity of faculty on campus.

Think of it this way: Right to Life has grown over twenty years til it is now a majority view in the country, albeit a small majority view. This has happened in spite of----I argue because of---the Liberal Establishment completely banning mention of the movement in any media for two decades. Nobody is allowed to show a one month old aborted fetus on TV; a three monther; or any aborted fetus, because to do so would show a real baby. One with head, arms, legs, and eyes; not a wart or a boil that could remotely be considered a part of a woman's body; a part to be cut out and tossed into the nearest sewer just because. Every character on every TV show is pro-abortion. Those against are depicted as hicks, down and outers, and morons. There is not a TV or Movie that isn't pro-abortion.

So how come the exact opposite is now the narrow majority view, and not just among the Red State morons?

As for college and university faculty diversity? For at least forty years---I would argue sixty years-- the faculties at all universities have not only been Left, but intolerantly Left. Left to the point that they don't allow anyone with a differing point of view to be hired. Left to the degree that far too many teachers refuse to allow any differing opinion in their classes. Yet we are about to see a major change in this "system” too. Faculty yelp that there are disgusting fascists agitating in the hallowed halls of Liberalism who want to include “conservative” professors. How come?

Everybody
likes the system.

Everybody wants abortion.

Think of it this way: our entire culture is built on defying the King---be his name George II or Clinton I. Taxation without representation. Keep them Brit soldiers out of my home. Nobody is going to tell me what to say. Fuck you just in case. Whenever we have decided to asphyxiate other points of view while still in their incubators those POVs end up flourishing in secret like a virus. Til a virus explodes into the disease itself, infecting everyone. If you want to succeed in this country, become aggressive victims just like the Christians in Ancient Rome hiding underground in the catacombs, plotting. I would argue that Communism became very big largely because we banned them from public discourse. Conservatism has been the beneficiary of media wide censorship since after WWII. It grew in secret; under every other leaf and rock; in every dark corner of every library in the country. People started to talk. To actually think.

What is going on? Underground movements grow precisely because nobody will debate them. They build and arm themselves with argument while hidden from view. When they finally erupt into full flower there is nobody around equipped to debate their time tested arguments. They then grow exponentially because opponents have nothing to say. Look at the pathetic Democrats sliming Rice, Gonzales, and the rest of the Bush people instead of actually looking at who and what they are. Look at the abortionists ridiculing the Right to Lifers. Nobody has effective argument because nobody has ever listened or seriously examined the “new” POVs.

Have any of you ever examined the total program of the Right to Life movement? Examined the costs of delaying death in old age? Examined the ramifications of Right to Life in all cases? Hell no. Nobody is equipped to do it other than to argue about killing babies while still in the womb, an act that most of us believe is motivated by money: "The goddam brat will take me out of work so those dam men will advance while I rot in the maternity ward." Abortionists seem to be possessed by envy directed at men who don’t have to “waste time” carrying a child for nine months and get to work and advance while women rot in the home. “Those fucking men.” They seethe with rage.

Right to Life is a philosophy going far beyond not wanting to murder the unborn. Rush Limbaugh, as well as Debbie Schlussel and other pro lifers, are now attacking the movie “Million Dollar Baby,” a movie with a heart rending plot that leaves the hero with only two horrible alternatives. He cannot live with either choice . Limbaugh and others are acting out a censorship long practiced by the abortion movement. They don’t want an opposite POV presented effectively. A POV that is expressed in a movie. A movie that ends with an awful choice presented in an emotionally and intellectually jarring drama must be dismissed. Limbaugh tried his best to hurt the movie by revealing the entire plot, a device used by the less than clear thinking Ms. Schlussel. “Don’t see it, it’s bad for you,” is the mantra, and if you do see it here’s the plot so you can’t enjoy yourselves.

So it seems that “conservative” professors will have to be hired at long last and that some actual campus debate and alternatives will be available, and then, following the script, some of them will become fascists.

That too is America..
