The stupidity of Barbara Boxer has never been in question. Nor has her political skill in rousing her extreme Left constituency to vote for her. Intelligence and political skills are separate, and always have been. Her performance yesterday was stupidity matched with her considerable political skills. Nobody on the Left will care that she is either a liar or a shoe size bra size IQ (correction from several emails; she is a 27AAA bra size). But a few facts about her "interrogaton" are in order. She claimed that only WMDs were in the resolution for war against Iraq. Fact:

Whereas Iraq persists in violating resolution of the United Nations Security Council by continuing to engage in brutal repression of its civilian population thereby threatening international peace and security in the region, by refusing to release, repatriate, or account for non-Iraqi citizens wrongfully detained by Iraq, including an American serviceman, and by failing to return property wrongfully seized by Iraq from Kuwait; . . .
The President is authorized to use the Armed Forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate in order to--
(1) defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and
(2) enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.

She further lied----misunderstood?----the number of Californians killed in the Iraq war. She claimed 25% of the dead were from---sob sob---her home state. Fact is about 12% are from CA. Does the Los Angeles Times report any of this? Ho ho, that's rich.
