Much ado about something not nearly as important as the MSM would have us believe. Both Britain and Bush are accused by our MSMs of getting rid of habeas corpus (the right to a quick filing of charges after arrest and counsel and setting a bail so a person can't be held indefinitely) because both countries have decided to act against terrorists. The MSM is lying (what else is new?) and both the Brits and us have decided to do this:

However, the executive must then immediately satisfy an independent decisionmaker that the order was given on the basis of satisfactory evidence. Both nations have decided, again each in its own way, that the normal criminal system is not the right forum for such detentions and hearings, for largely the same reason.
