What did I think about the SOU speech last nite? Come on, who really cares? The important thing to me is the potential collapse of the Democratic Party. There is no way any party can remain viable with their feet planted firmly in the air. We may see the Democrats reduced to Tory levels, a party unable to do anything. 2006 may result in a 60+ seat Republican Senate and I get very nervous about any political party having that much power. It's clear that SS must be reformed. So? It's clear we need tort reform. So there. And the Marine mom and the Iraqi voter? Things don't get more heart touching than that.
