"Mommy don't make me do my homework yet. I want to watch the BBC News on PBS."
"Oh, all right honey. If it weren't for PBS we wouldn't be able to get any Communist news at all from this fascist Bush government."

PBS is a typical Left Wing Freedloader on the dole that abuses their handouts, refuses to work, and stays loaded on our dime. Why oh why is the near communist America hating BBC News put on each night with our tax dollars? Aren't five cable news channels, including the BBC, enough? Why are those tedious BBC sitcoms on? PBS funnels our tax dollars straight into the the pockets of Brit actors, directors, and producers---who are also subsidized by Brit tax payers---instead of putting on American programming. Why is figure skating programed, as if ESPN doesn't give us enough of it? Is it possible that their donors insist on watching gay men in too tight pants prance about the ice with roses in their teeth? Women's gymnastics ditto. Why can't PBS exist using American programming of things nobody else can afford to put on such as symphonies, jazz, some theatre that has no audience at all, and other things that nobody else can put on. The Civil War series was outstanding. Our tax dollars now go to cooking shows in spite of the fact that there is an entire cooking cable network. Real education is a PBS function. Where are the phonics reading programs that parents can tape? How about the "quick math" that the schools refuse to teach? And the salaries paid to these bozos is a scandal. Fox is leading a look at some of the PBS excesses, but my bet is that the look will end right there. There is next to nothing on PBS that isn't done just as well or better by commercial TV without our tax dollars, thank you very much. I'd like to see PBS open each day with a master shot of one of their parking lots loaded with Mercedes, Porches, and other luxury cars paid for by us stupid tax payers as they launch into another fund raising week.
