SCHAVIO? IT'S ABOUT ABORTION, STUPID

Late add: Mudville has linked to this piece about Terri's great husband who is quoted at length. The piece is titled "When is that Bitch Gonna Die." A couple of bits from the article:

Let's see, first Michael Schiavo beats and strangles his wife Terri, leaves her lying unconscious on the floor until her family arrives to get her to the hospital.

Then Michael Schiavo sues the hospital for $20 million because he needs the money to get his poor wife therapy.

Then Michael Schiavo pockets the money, denies his wife the care he said she needed and finally, claims she really wants to die.

Michael Schiavo killed his wife Terri's cat, melted down her wedding ring and then took up with his girlfriend and lives with her today with their children. Does this sound like a loving husband who really cares about his wife's wishes?

On the Democratic side, the Schavio case is all about abortion. Their position is fueled by all the usual feminist, ACLU, and San Francesspool Leftists. None give a shit about Schavio, (go here for the Schavio "Exit Strategy" that includes pain relief) what they care about is their “right” to keep on killing babies, even those in very late term and those who are actually out of the womb. That is why, in their view, Schavio must die regardless of the pain and suffering caused by starving her to death.

The Republicans are also motivated by their position regarding most abortions, but the GOP really supports the entire “Right to Life” position, one that views the sanctity of all human life from conception to the moment before death as paramount. This is their base. There is no way in the current political structure of the two parties that the Republicans would allow Schavio to die.

Make no mistake, this move has the potential to make abortions a Federal matter, something that the Left cannot tolerate if Federal intervention means that women can’t kill babies no matter the “term.” Partial birth abortion is now the Feminist cause celeb (see here for some pictures of so-called fetus in various stages)

The current Leftist argument about the Feds not interfering in State affairs is bogus. One of the most Leftist members of Congress did all she could to help a local rapist in Marin County. No problem. The entire argument depends on whose ox is being gored. In this current case it's the Republican ox, the Republicans have the majority and make the rules. So they did.

Peter Singer, the focus of the interview, is the guy who advocates killing all kinds of already born babies. This is supposedly the "wave of the future" for all thinking "Progressives."
