Intel Report, without the bullshit. Many in the GOP wanted Tenet out the moment Bush took office, thinking that he was flat NG. Bush -1. After 9/11 which proved the CIA was useless as tits on an ice pick and that the FBI had a problem finding sand in the desert, Bush retained Tenet and continued to listen to him. Bush -2. Then Bush accepted the CIA reports on Saddam, which proved totally false. Bush -5. We went to war with Iraq on completely false premises: no WMD and no mobile chemical labs. Bush's failure to punish incompetence quickly has resulted in 1,500 (and counting) U.S. Military deaths and 5,000 + wounded plus another 20,000 Iraqi dead---I know, there would have been a lot more under Saddam during the same period---and a loss of our international credibility. And God knows what else.

In political terms, Bush has successfully transferred the Iraq war into one of freedom for the Middle East masses and a weakening of terrorist influences that threatened us, but this entire episode may make it impossible to defend ourselves in the future. Both The Left and the Right will almost certainly block any action, no matter the CIA and other intel.

This is a very bad Intel Report for our future.
