Notes on a Zig Zag paper: Peter Lynch, one of the all time stock pickers, has said that you can check a stock by walking into a retail outlet and seeing how much business they do. On this basis---short Blockbuster---I know it's a part of Viacom, so watch Viacom carefully. I went into our local Blockbuster yesterday and found at least ten movies out of stock. I went to the manager and complained. He promptly pointed to a large pile of movies on a stand and said they "were in there someplace." Trust me, Blockbuster is out of business.

As soon as I read the new government report that said being fat ain't all that bad, I ate a pint of coffee ice cream in one sitting. I'm going to do it again today. I'm going to keep doing it. I have to make up for lost time.
