Shhhhh, THERE'S AN 800 POUND GORILLA IN THE ROOM

As Bush and the GOP Sleep, illegal immigration becomes the 800 pound gorilla in the room.
I happen to think that talk radio is far more influential than blogs, mainly because they can hammer a topic through callers day after day. If you were in LA right now you'd know the only topic anybody is talking about is illegal immigration. I'd say everybody, including a lot of Mexican-Americans, is really pissed off. Bush's falling popularity is due to gasoline AND illegals. When the screaming racist, Maxine Waters, starts frothing at her big mouth about Mexican gangs you wonder if Republicans can, or should, maintain control of this country.

Late Add: Hillary Clinton and Robert Byrd have proposed a Border Czar plus 600 more patrols, 200 detention beds, together with the money to fund it. Bush is killing the GOP. She has taken the issue away from the Republicans in one day. I say good for her. What isn't clear is whether they are after the northern border or the southern border. Also, funding something is an old Clinton trick; funding something for one year and then letting it drop. Remember the 10,000 cops on the street?
