Memorial Day, my POV. Look, I was in the military and I want to tell you there wasn't a single kid in my boot camp company who was willing to die for his country. There wasn't a single grunt I ever spoke with who fought to save our country from anything. We had no real idea why we were there, except that we had nothing else to do. Many were sent there by judges, probation officers, and parents fed up with us. When there, we just wanted to stay alive long enough to go home. Memorial Day is crapola to me, merely a means to justify to the living the reasons so many died in the past.
