A PART OF WHAT TODAY IS ALL ABOUT

Natalee Holloway case shows us what our democracy is all about.....

We are all flustered by the way the Aruban government is handling things, but they are doing it their way. The Old Europe way. The Old Europe most of our ancestors fled because they hated it is on display in Aruba There we see....

1. Secret hearings before a judge
2. A judge decides if charges should be brought in CLOSED session
3. The accused are not allowed attorneys
4. People can be held without charges almost indefinitely
5. The government is not obligated to say anything.
6. The police operate in secrecy.

It was just this type of “law” that our country was created NOT to have. The Dutch people allegedly approve of this type of judicial conduct. They approve of people being held without bail or charges (no habeas corpus) for an indeterminate time. They don’t think people arrested should have a right to an attorney. And they think a secret government is OK. When in Rome.....

Late Add: The two twins have been released by a judge in a secret hearing, after 25 days without charges being made, or an attorney made available.

Happy Fourth of July, and think of what we celebrate today.....
