Intelligent Design is a philosophy bolstered by faith alone. Evolution is a science bolstered by an enclyclopedia of facts that lack only the links from ape to man to complete. Intelligent Design does not belong in science classes that use experimental proofs, conjecture based on logical extensions, and mathematical proofs. It belongs in philosophy, comparative religion, or even history. I don't believe that science classes or math classes treat things like string theory and quantum mechanics as solutions to everything, but instead theories that are well advanced and have many proofs not confirmed by experiments. My opinion is that as math gets deeper and deeper we may actually find an intelligent design (unified field theory). Who knows? But Intelligent Design in a science class? How about Thetans from Scientology creating the earth? Or the more than 500 Hindu gods doing their shit? Or all the American Indian rain gods? No, leave Intelligent Design in philosophy.
