Now about the morons who won't evacuate---I don't know why we have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to resuce the bastards from floods after Rita leaves. Let the fuckers drown.

As of around midnight on the 22nd it looks like Rita's eye will hit south of Galveston, which means the winds will be in the catgegory 4 area at most when it hits the port. The oil pumping stations in the area are designed to withstand category 3. It's the floods, stupid, not the wind.... And nobody is measuring water temps in front of the path and water temps have everything to do with the strength of a hurricane.
