2PM Add: I may have been suckered on this piece, but I'm leaving it up. It was written by Alex Veiga, one of those commie shit for brains at the AP, and Biz Week carried it. Looking him up, I find that he usually writes about pop music. The root source is from a guy named Ryan Ratcliff, and his housing numbers are carried by nearly everyone. He works for the UCLA Anderson Forecast, which is a very well thought of research group and is usually correct about SoCal business forecasting.
Biz Week: Housing slowdown may claim 800,000 jobs
A sustained decline will hit the U.S. housing market next year, costing the nation as many as 800,000 jobs, according to a new economic report released Wednesday.This will be recession number four for Greenspan. His "solutions" always hit the same sector: housing and the almost million blue collar jobs. Let's hope the new Chairman, Berneke, will recognize it and stop the insanity.
The slowdown is likely to last several years, with as many as 500,000 construction jobs and 300,000 financial sector positions lost,
