Quick note on Iran: as I said before, they hold four aces and we cannot beat them with anything less than a straight flush. Our straight flush is first strike capability, and that's it. Pretty soon we may not even have that. Everything in Iraq will be for naught if Iran becomes a nuclear power because they will dominate the entire middle east. These are the most dangerous times since the Cuban Missle Crises.....

And we relied on the CIA to launch an attack inside of Pakistan. WTF, we should close it down. Are they Have they ever been right on anything?

Still working on my nuclear camera which came with a photo shop type of inclusioin called photo studio, which takes hours to look at the things you can do. Camera also takes takes a while to see some of the hundred or so things you can do. It's probably worth it in the end, but it is like applying nuclear physics to balancing a check book. All I want to do is shoot some fucking pictures. In conversations with five digital camera owners NONE know how to use more than the basic shoot, load into computer, print.

Howie, you bought too much camera.

You should have bought the cheapest and therefore the simplest digital camera in the store.

You probably ought to disregard the software that came with the camera, too. Windows XP will let you view your pix as "thumbnails" without any additional software.

No, the USAF and USN can carry out a sustained bombing campaign that can last for years, same as was done to Iraq between 1991 and 2003.

In regard to Iran withholding their oil: that is a two way street. Oil is Iran's only source of significant income. They need the cash. Even the Russians would probably stop helping Iran if Iran stopped paying the Rooskies.

Uncle Howie, I hate to rub it in, but you should have bought a cheapie digital camera for about $100. You'd probably be happier with that.

My favorite comment was this one, Mr Ahmadinejad said, adding: "You [the west] need us more than we need you. All of you today need the Iranian nation." This comes from a country who will need to import 300,000 tons of rice this year alone and who is not self sufficient in "maize, sugar or oil seeds" Iran Daily I think that the economy would be hurt by a rise in oil prices, but many on this board feel that the economy is already toast regardless of what happens to oil prices. Although there is little doubt that a sever spike could hasten trouble, there is a reason that the "Oil for food" program was started in Iraq. Our trade sanctions tend to work for a region smack in the middle of the desert.

If this is true, then Iran has a weakness.

One thing is left out of the equation: the mullahs don't give a shit. The religion teaches them to sacrifice and so on. I also left out the fact that individual imams own stuff outside their borders. I'll repost my Iran is a Mafia family post. Oh, and you think the Europeans and Asians won't stumble all over themselves to get food to Iran?
