Call the members of the Duke LaCrosse team the Great White Defendant; privileged, elite, and arrogant. On the other side we have a poor black WOMAN who says she has been brutally raped by said White Defendant.

We have race: rich white devils vs poor and victimized blacks. We all get to scream about how much we love them poor negras. String up the white bastard just to prove we love black people.

We have gender to think of: poor victimized women who are stomped on daily by those awful white males. They mind rape us when they don't sexually rape us. It's payback time.

And then there is money: we all know white people have stolen everything they have from the poor. This is our chance to show the rich that they can't just do anything they like.
