Howard if you want MSIE and tabs, consider an Internet Explorer "skin" such as AvantBrowser, GreenBrowser or Maxthon.
Get all the Microsoft security updates and set your IE security settings to things like Active X disabled, and you'll have a great tabbed browser and a very secure browser.
