QUICK: WHO IS BURIED IN GRANT'S TOMB?

And what of the only man ever promoted on the battlefield by Grant, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, that peerless combination of modesty and valor, the college professor from Maine who might personally have saved the Union during the crisis at Little Round Top in the Battle of Gettysburg? Well, who needs to know about him these days?
Chamberlain, an evil white man, found himself atop Roundtop heading an army that was out of ammunition. Having been ordered to hold the position at all costs, he led his more or less defenseless men in a bayonet charge down the mountain and routed the Rebs. This charge is credited with saving the Day at Gettysburg. The post is terrific piece about the dumbing down of American History, the elimination of almost all white men from the course so women aren't offended, and other goodies baddies over at ISteve....
