THEM WHINING RETIRED GENERALS

Well Rummy, tell me: are there 3,000 retired generals who have served in Iraq?

These generals need to be listened to because no officer ever wants to lead his men to their deaths over and over again. For the proof, all you have to do is look at France in 1940 when WWI veterans, gripped by their memories of horror and endless deaths in the "Big War," refused to fight, refused to sacrifice an entire army; refused to attack the oncoming Germans in spite of numerical and tank superiority, and the still horrified WWI hero, Marshall Petain, surrendered the country without any fight at all.

These generals are telling us something we need to listen to because their lack of confidence spreads downward like a gallon drum of molasses covering everyone it touches. The head of the 82nd Airbourne isn't just some pissed off retired general.

Belmont Club has the best overall look, HERE.
