Because I haven't traded in six months I neglected to look at gold when I posted my inflation piece earlier today. Gold is only a leading indicator 60% of the time, the rest of the time it is a laggard. Gold has literally crashed over the past few days (see above chart) following oil. This is also good news for all of us.
