FIGHT ON---FOR BAD TV

The telecast of the USC-Notre Dame game was the worst television coverage of any major sporting event I can remember. Endless chatter, endless promos within every play, Mussberger running at the mouth and nobody seeming to care about the game. The game. You know that stuff those guys in the fancy colored costumes were doing The actual telecast was simply an excuse for ABC to load the boat with commercials, promos, and endless stupid chatter. The scripted promos ruined a good game. Most notable: USC playing for the right to get into the same cage with Ohio State, which may have an offense that is faster than the USC defense and certainly has more weapons than an outclassed Notre Dame team, one that found out that USC ain't Army or North Carolina.
