NOTES ON A ZIG ZAG PAPER

On a rainy day in SoCal, the TV is on in the BG and I can report that the "news" today is.

More Reggie Bush and USC than Anna Nicole. USC might have to release their prize freshman from the scholarship.

The concussion damage suffered by the ex-Patriot linebacker Ted Johnson. From my own contacts with former football players I can tell you that this stuff is the NFL/ESPN dirty secret, which is all about money: theirs. There are at least fifty shuffling stumbling former players who can barely talk.

In the wake of her death, DVD sales for Anna Nicole's reality show are skyrocketing. According to TMZ, since Thursday, its ranking on has soared an amazing 180,000 percent, moving from number 27,014 to 15. Doping yourself to death guarantees a hit record. K-Fed, Spears, Hilton, and others considering methadone.

Socialized Medicine is coming. Well not really, the conversation for it is all over the tube but nobody has dared present a way to implement it, plan for it, or decide what can be covered. You can bet when the entitlement lawyers get involved every illness known and unknown will be covered, everybody will be entitled to a private room, and any doctor that dares question self diagnosis made by patients, will be sued. The total cost of the program will dwarf those incurred by all our wars put together. Best bet? Invest in large construction companies because at least a million new hospitals will have to be built.
