USC FOOTBALL IN DEEP SHIT
Reggie Bush and his family are bad apples and Pete Carroll knows it---in spite of this he apparently used "Reggie" to recruit the number one prospect in the USA. This time it's clearly Pete Carroll's fault, and nobody else's. USC could be toast for five years. Thanx Pete.....
The University of Southern California is looking into whether it may have violated NCAA recruiting rules while pursuing highly rated recruit Joe McKnight. McKnight signed a national letter of intent with USC on Wednesday and made comments during a news conference that seemed to suggest communications involving former Trojan Reggie Bush, who is now with the New Orleans Saints. Former players are forbidden from telephoning prospective recruits, their relatives or their guardians. USC coach Pete Carroll denied any call took place, and McKnight's high school football coach said the recruit misspoke during the news conference. The star running back has been living with his high school coach, J.T. Curtis. During the Wednesday news conference, McKnight said Carroll set up a conference call so he and Curtis could talk to Bush and ease concerns that USC might face sanctions.Might face sanctions? They not only face them, they are about to be handed a bill of indictment. They are accused of giving Bush's family over $200,000 for "rent" money and Carroll turns to the same criminals to help recruit somebody. This is just like USC in the old days we all thought were over.
