Cathy Seipp....???? Didn't read her. I thought she was just another gossipy woman rambling endlessly about nothing important. I always felt that if I sat next to her at a dinner that she'd never stop talking, and always about things that interested her, not me. She's dead now. Lots of people really liked her, but conservative? I don't get it.

Why the cranky? She was good enough for the NRO and the WSJ and wasn't remotely some gossipy person. Patterico was a pal of her, too.
Well, I knew her, and you're absolutely right: she would've rambled on about things that interested her, and not you.
She was extremely self-centered and narcissistic and that's what those people are like.
