SLANDER, AND I MEAN SLANDER

A perfect example of "gossip" columns slandering someone can be found here at I Don't Like You in That Way. These people are near morons and I really hope the family of slandered Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the earliest anti-Hitler people in Germany, sues the shit out of them. The scum sheet describes him as a "mass murderer" when in fact he was a fucking hero of the first order. He lost two fingers, an eye, and a forearm and while recovering in a hospital he joined with others opposed to Hitler and determined to try and kill him. Because they kept trying to kill the entire Nazi leadership their plots kept failing, so von Staffenberg tried to get Hitler on his own. He failed and was caught. Just before his execution he was heard to yell, "Long live a FREE Germany." A summation of his efforts can be found HERE. The Nazis had a policy of killing "kith and kin" (the entire extended family, which means that as many as thirty family members extending all the way down to second cousins could be killed) of anyone opposing the regime, which meant the risks of challenging Hitler were enormous. This guy Stauffenberg had balls of steel. A hero for trying when almost nobody else dared.
