Surber has this phony scandal about right. We all know the real purpose behind the Congressional Dems trying to drag White House people in to testify; after all many of them promised impeachment during the campaign. My sense of this right now is that many (even some libs) are asking a "big" question: "are you ever going to govern?" I think the Democrats are stumbling into defeat as the entire party shows its ugly face; the, end the war yesterday or face war crimes trials, crowd is only a part of the loony left. The balance want to roll back the tax cuts, raise taxes, enact social programs (health care; tariffs, and some kind of revenge against the oil companies), and have "open borders" declared national policy. Most can't pass the Senate so we still have a couple of years to muster up conservative candidates who can win, but we better act fast.
