And it's John McCain, folks, just as sure as we're sitting here. He is avoiding all Conservative gatherings, choosing to appear in Iraq and a very few rallies here at home. All who know him have been disturbed by his take no prisoners style of legislative stances. There is a saying among the spook set that goes like this: "Never trust a man who wouldn't break under torture." They mean by this that a man who has looked into the Abyss and had the Abyss look back at him (Nietzsche) and then emerged cannot be threatened by anything or anybody. You cannot ever expect him to do anything other than what he chooses to do. He is fearless.

He's determined to run, if not as a Republican, he'll get even and run as an independent. You can count on it and he doesn't care if he defeats the Republicans in the process. In fact he might do it just to get even.
