Professional Army getting pissed

And a pissed off professional Army takes over their own countries.
Army backs off censoring Mil blogging but really doesn't. The purpose of the Army Brass was to kill any criticism from within and the bogus retreat from the original order means "a chill" is on every soldier blog and every Army Wife blogger. More and more guys are reporting about the impenetrable bureaucracy that stifles almost everything in the "Green Zone" and I'd say that this censorship is just one more log that the great George Bush has failed to put on the fire. The army job is to kill people and break things, not administrate over both the bungled policies and the lack of planning from another bureaucracy 5,000 miles distant. They are trying to do things they have not been trained to do. Military Wives and other Dependent blogs can never really say everything they want to say because all military dependents are career Army and get their twice-monthly paychecks from DoD. The threat of withholding same keeps a lot of their opinions even more quiet now. To quote "See Jane:"

Do not write what you can say. Do not say what you can nod. Do not nod what you can wink.

Many are posted by wives and the resulting writing is not very focused or entertaining, but they sure get their points across. The more mil blogging you read the more you will come to realize that the gulf between Army and the rest of society has grown to a near dangerous level, and this gulf has been deliberately created by the Democrats. I say dangerous because we have a professional military just like the dictatorships around the world, and those professional Armies overthrow governments, either on their own or because they have been "taken over." I have never been a fan of the professional military in a democracy because of the unavoidable position of moral superiority the military always takes (and is rapidly taking place right now) and this feeling of moral superiority can lead to government takeover as one of the implied results. And if you don't think that an Army takeover isn't already popular with twenty percent of the people, you are sipping the Kool Aid. BTW, I have communicated with Rasmussen and suggested he poll this question. We'll see what we will see.
