TWELVE (12) CENTS

That's how much the retail price of unleaded gasoline has dropped over the past three days in LA. High on Thursday at THE cheapest station in LA was $3.49 and this AM it is $3.37. Admittedly the higher price was only in effect for a day or part of a day, but any reduction helps.

Republicans
try to get rid of spineless RINOS is the title of a piece at California Conservative. Read it, and you will see that turnout for both parties in '08 may be the lowest ever. Two parties completely satisfied with the corruption of both principals and ethics. He points out that the Democrat leadership has been in Congress thirty years or more and will never reform the place and that the Republican leadership thinks the last election was not about spending at all. Pretty good read.

Shhh, don't wake the FBI. Jihad Watch details the terrorist training camp right in their backyard. Of course they do nothing.

LGF has a long piece advocating the surveillance of mosques as a good way to stem terror training in the US. I completely disagree. Our country has a history of what happens here when dissenting opinion is controlled, squelched, discouraged, and so on. We only have to look at Right to Life, a movement that was ridiculed in all media, has had how many hundreds of movies and TV shows attack them, and has been banned from any discussion by anyone anywhere.....LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED. How many of you know that Right to Life includes spending whatever it takes to prolong life in the terminally ill? In addition, I could mention that the suppression of the Communist Party in the forties and fifties only forced them underground and they came close to taking over the reins of power. Just open everything up to everyone. Then pass a law. And.....And?

I've believed
for quite a few months that the only way the Republicans could possibly lose in '08 would be if the Dems handed it to them. Well, it's happening. The Dems are doing their best over the past month, and as incompetent and out of touch as the Republicans are, their clever strategy just might work. The very latest are the lies told by the Gov of Kansas in requesting tornado help from a government that has sent her National Guard and their equipment to Iraq and so she couldn't call them up. Then there are the reports that the Dems told her to lie. Even more obvious is the Left "hell with the consequences" censorship effort aimed at every blog, publication, or statement; it seems that no tactic is off base.
