JFK TERRORISTS: NOTHING NEW

Back in '04 I posted a piece about terror cells and how they form. Not much has changed, as we can see through the latest JFK guys, except that this particular cell was not formed by angry college students, but by angry ordinary men; all the other components of classic cell formation were still there. Starting with the single angry man finding the second and then a third and so on through the beginnings of actual action, they followed the matrix. Reaching out to known terrorists for advice, guidance, and financing, is normal for terrorist cells. It is this spontaneous formation of cells that is so hard to understand, and without the publicized terrorist activities they could not form. The thing that stands out to me that is different, is that these guys were far from smart, unusual for the current crop of terrorist cells which are always comprised of educated men, guys who are at least college students, and once in a while one or two highly educated professionals. Here you have a cell started by a baggage handler, very unusual and probably why the FBI was able to infiltrate it so early. What should concern us is that morons could hatch something like this, a factor that hints to me that the really smart guys are out there, and invisible. The five fundamental elements of self-organizing networks are adaptation, correlation (connected by complimentary relationship), coupling, aggregation (collecting new members from a similar cell) and self reproduction. As each agent is added the group gets stronger and will further evolve. Each agent within the group will change too because of the nature of this self organized blob and other self organized blobs.
