Our Liar in Chief Wants us to Trust Him; Ho, Ho, That's Rich

Immigration: Fred Barnes, he of the Weekly Standard, cannot be called anything but a zealous conservative, some might call him an "asshole conservative." So with this in mind, take a look at his piece on Immigration Reform in the Weekly Standard. He lays out the many good things in the bill, the horror that the Democrats will wreak when they almost certainly win the '08 election, and the "triggers." After reading the article I must admit that I largely agree with it BUT I STILL HATED THE BILL. I had to sit still with myself (pray) for a half hour to search out the reason for my hostility toward The Bill.

I cannot bring myself to believe that any president on the horizon will do anything more than our current Mexican president has done to control the border. The fence will NOT be built. Border Patrol will NOT be funded; nor will new ones be hired. Employers won't be arrested because everyone is a citizen. I still see tidal waves of new illegal immigrants as far into the future as I can see. Bush has set the tone for the Mexification of our culture, and my dislike for him clouds any positive things the Bill may, as Barnes correctly points out, say it will do.

Our current Liar in Chief guarantees that only certain things contained in The Bill will be enforced; he will continue to selectively sodomize the country. Bush has crushed any faith I had left in "our" government.

So what does the photo of the drop dead gorgeous Jessica Biel putting her own garbage into the can have to do with anything? Hey, if she can dump garbage into the garbage can so can I.
