Home Schooling Note: as more and more of you either choose or are thinking about choosing home schooling for your kids over the other available options but are concerned about the lack of things like band, drama, sports, and just plain social interaction---dating, friendships, just kids getting together--- here's a note. The NCAA track and field championships were held in Sacramento a week or so ago and home schooled young men won two events and placed in two others. The latest figures show that a whopping fifteen percent of kids are now being home schooled in spite of teacher union opposition and the Supreme Court has now backed the parents. Lack of team sports opportunities is still THE major drawback to home schooling because of the scholarship possibilities.
