Markets

While there are NO hard and fast rules for investing, the main rule I have for buying is the indexes. You cannot buy when the indexes are falling. Right now they have all broken moving average trend lines other than the really long term ones. Watch your stocks and if you get a technical sell signal, dump them. Never mind any news, the charts are the only thing that matter when a market is falling. I re-emphasize: the "debate" the other night was literally a shot in the head for the markets; the Dems showed just how hostile they are toward free market capitalism and they are going to win. News doesn't help, nor do oil prices. And never forget the importance of housing employment. Tough news. Even tougher charts.

Major support
is all the way down to Dow 13,400. Ouch

Late Add: as of 4:30AM you cannot sell out of at least three of the so-called hedge funds. In other words, you are frozen in and could lose everything. If you are an amateur in this market, you are fucked. And deservedly so because you had no business getting into a hedge fund. Those of us used to futures know the risks and ways to get out.
