Some of our own commanders believe that units who are not “in contact” or fighting here are perhaps not out beating the bushes enough. If there is a criticism of Marines on this, I heard Marines and American Army officers say on many occasions that some of the higher Marine command is stuck in the kinetic mindset, and this is very frustrating for Marines and Soldiers who realize that WHEN NOBODY IS SHOOTING IT MEANS YOU ARE WINNING.

My comment: Same as twenty, thirty, forty and a thousand years ago. The fucking officers are simply in a mind jail of their own making, actually believing that the shiny stuff on their shoulders and helmets makes them better than anyone below them. They are best at sitting on their asses counting paper clips and giving empty opinions. Some are real good at scheduling movies, others excel at finding housing for Congressmen and Commie Reporters.
