Army Wife posts that the Pentagon has "solved" the benefits issue with our returning soldiers but if you read her post carefully it's clear that nothing has been done at all. She, like all the wives, have to be careful because as anyone who has been in the service knows, whistle blowers get killed; orders get lost, paperwork just vanishes, an E6 can suddenly be an E3 with the appropriate loss of everything, and you can suddenly be shipped to the front lines without a gun (and that is no shit because it happened to me). So if you've a mind, write your so-called Congressional Rep. This is a real bullshit deal.

The actual story, complete with attempt, is actually pretty funny, but long. It involves me getting hip, collecting a return for a favor from a Yeoman who showed me how to type orders so I was able to switch destinations. But that motherfucker thought he sent me to my death, or at least some very close calls. Really challenging top brass is dangerous to your health.
any story involving a Yeoman, a typewriter, and a gun.....well always good.
