Went to the USC-OREGON football game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Aside from being a terrific game, the claims for all time loudest stadium were confirmed by noise readings showing Autzen crowds louder by far than LSU, Clemson, and other false claimants to the throne. Several decibels higher than standing next to a jet engine at takeoff roar. You simply cannot hear anything there other than Oregon maniacs making noise so the opposing team cannot hear signals. Oregon, as I've been telling you, is a hell of a team and beat USC pretty good. Their fans are All World.

The wolves are out for Trojan coach Pete Carroll who is accused of being an incompetent for the way he has (mis)handled the running backs, keeping two great talents on the bench to give seniors a chance. I sat next to a producer at Fox Sports Net on the plane back from Eugene who told me that their highest rated show in SoCal is the local high school football games on Thursday and Friday nights.
