Oh God, Save us from Ourselves

The oh so liberal and influential New York Times has come out four square against small state primaries held on a single day. Their reasoning: them crappy small states (small states mean white) don't represent America.

Had the first primary been held in some big states as they suggest, Obama would have lost big time. Why?

Picture this: I live in LA and and before that I lived in Manhattan for at least seven years. What kind of Blacks routinely erupt out of every tenement and vacant lot? Angry ones. Gang bangers. In LA Obama would have had on "his side," the ever popular (Congresspersons) anti-white Maxine Waters and Diane Watson, both issuing racist rants as always. Then we’d have had Al Sharpton roaming around grabbing face time on the nets. And don’t forget that Jessie Jackson would have been shooting off his mouth too and as we know, he makes a lot of noise. While it is true that all this noise might have helped Obama carry racially tense California (might be close), people in all other states would watch what they would think are Black Revolutionaries, Welfare Bums, and Teacher Union idiots, all backed up by radical left organizations, trying to take over the country.

People in Nevada, Montana, Oregon (yes, there too), Arizona and quite possibly Washington would have cringed, making Hillary the beneficiary, even though there was a ground swell brewing for Obama. He would probably lose thirty states and be blown out, all because the usual suspects destroyed his message. If, as the NYT suggests, primaries include some kind of diversity in which (racially diverse) big states dominate the small (bigoted) ones,
the lavishly financed Clinton would prevail over a sparsely moneyed Obama. Money would win, not hope.

Now with racism taken completely off the table (for the first time in our history) as a result of winning a “white” (how horrible) state, Obama has clear sailing---if his programs have the right bite.

And could an anti-establishment couple of broke jerks like Paul and Huckabee ever have won in a big state over the lavishly financed Mitt Romney?

Winning that tiny state gives all the bums a chance. Hooray for the broke bums and boo hiss for the Ph.D. crowd and the NYT. Lots of bloggers, especially Ace, have all kinds of correct stuff up on their sites, but my particular POV stands alone.
