Bimbo Outbreak---in McCain Camp
McCain playing hide the salami with lobbyist? So, "sort of maybe" says the New York Times in an innuendo laden so-called news report placed on the web and not in the newspaper.
This "charge" goes back to 1991 and then the 2000 campaign. There was a time when the New York Times would never print a story that was so short on fact and specifics. But that was then and this is now.....Late Add: CNN and MSNBC are piling on this story as if it were all fact. My opinion: this is actually an attempt by the Left to bring back the "Keating Five" scandal from the 60s and 70s by continually linking this "non news story" with the S&L financial crises.
John McCain’s relationship with a female lobbyist underscores a paradox: Even as he embraces high ethical standards, his confidence in his own integrity sometimes seems to blind him to potential conflicts of interest. A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, in his offices and aboard a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity. When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s clients, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.
Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.

She looks like Cindy McCain. John's probably nearsighted and thought he was with his wife. Mr. Magoo 2008.
