Don Spitzer?

Whores and gangsters: it is a matter of fact that wherever you have suite whores as opposed to the $10 street hustlers you have Organized Crime. High end "whore house" enterprises are always taken over by some crime figure who simply knocks on their doors and announces that he is now a "partner."

Crime fighter Spitzer by patronizing this very high end prostitution ring became a silent partner in the very activity he bragged about bringing down when he was attorney general of New York. That a man so versed in the blackmail style of prosecution would so readily open himself up to that dark art is, at the very least, extraordinary. One would think that a man who deployed his aides to whisper about a corporate executive allegedly “banging” his assistant, would be wise enough to the ways of the world to avoid putting himself in a position where he could be blackmailed. That he lacked such wisdom—or ignored it—shows a reckless disregard for the responsibilities of the high office to which the people of New York elected him.

So while the usual liberal assholes babble about victimless crime the mobsters may well have had their hooks into Spitzer for quite a while. And while we are all obsessed with the Italian Mafia, the real organized powerhouse in this country is The Russian Mafia, (Amazon Link) an organized crime force that is even more vicious than the Italians. But in less than 30 years, Russian organized crime has grown to pose a threat law enforcement officials think could be greater than that posed by La Cosa Nostra.

"Italian organized crime in America is a pimple on a horse's ass compared with Russian organized crime in America—and globally," says Robert I. Friedman, author of a new book on the Russian Mafia. A group so vicious that they will shoot you just to see if the gun works and unlike the Italians the Russians will go after everyone, cops, politicians, and even corporate execs.

Congressman Peter King is also warning about the blackmail possibilities and the ties to Organized Crime. Every hooker everywhere has ties to some kind of criminal gang and the ones I've talked to in the past knew dam well what the real score was and would brag about having "someone" who could break heads were she ever in trouble.
