Litmus Test Legislators Won't Solve Nothin'
Do you really expect a legislator elected because he/she was "pro choice" or Right to Life; elected because they'd stop welfare spending; won your vote because they promised to fund special projects, stop any development of our sacred wilderness, or were just pro environment? Is that what you done, sweet cheeks? So how do you expect them to vote on inflation, high gas prices, endless subsidies of their favorite pressure group, or anything else that threatens our Republic?
They are all ignorant about everything other than their specialties, which in too many cases happens to be looting the treasury for their own personal gain. It's the speculators, the oil barons, the fucking Muslims, and the auto companies, so let's get them. Like that's going to stop or encourage anyone.
Congress may pass a bill to allow off shore drilling today but California will not allow drilling off the coast no matter what. They may allow drilling in the Arctic but it won't stop the environmentalist law suits designed to delay any drilling for five years at the very least. Clinton cleverly gave away the oil rich Utah land to enviros, but lawsuits killed the deal (for a while); now a group called Earthjustice has entered the fray determined to stop any and all development on "pristine" land. If you want just a taste of the environmental lobby go here and vomit.
So when followers of Hannity vote for a "great American," when Rush's minions do nothing but attempt to rig elections by crossing party lines, and George Soros throws a billion into a campaign to elect people who will do as he tells them to do, we have a government of narrow special interests and nothing else.
When you read the PBS link above you will see the line up of uncompromising hard liners eager to paralyze all energy exploration everywhere, and I don't see a way to beat them now.
Litmus test legislators will do as their conscience dictates and never ever waver.

Hmmmm.
Sorry to point this out but liberals have been manipulating Republican elections for years now.
As for the enviro-weenies? All you can do is try and educate people as to why their lives suddenly started to suck ass.
