This is in response to a comment referring me to Gateway regarding an alleged false Birth Certificate for Obama. This is a totally bogus argument. If his mom is an American citizen he is a citizen....The following citation should suffice

1994 The Immigration and Nationality Technical Corrections Act of 1994 amended several sections of the Immigration and Nationality Act, and took effect on March 1, 1995.

Amended Section 322 permits children born overseas of a U.S. citizen parent to be eligible for a certificate of citizenship if either their U.S. citizen parent or a U.S. citizen grandparent had been physically present in the United States for at least five years, two of which after the age of 14, prior to the child's birth abroad. This provision also applies to a child adopted abroad.

Amended Section 301 (h) gives back U.S. citizenship to a person born before noon (Eastern Standard Time) May 24, 1934, outside the limits and jurisdiction of the United States of an alien father and a mother who is a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, had resided in the United States.

This smear will not find a welcome on this site and if you folks insist on spreading it you will only hurt McCain. But perhaps this is your purpose. LGF has the goods. This is a smear from A to Z. Strata also blows this up.

I will not publish in the comments this smear.....

Hmmmm.

Personally it looks like the laws were changed so that all those kids fathered by American GIs wouldn't have any basis for claiming citizenship.

"If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16."

Since most US soldiers, sailors and airmen are 18-19, this nicely eliminates the vast majority of kids otherwise born out of wedlock to American servicemen.

sigh. I know how very lucky I am. But I must say I don't know what I'd do if I ever found who my biological father was.

Anyways this is why so many Amerasian kids had such crappy lives. And some still do.

Anyway. Being the child of a US citizen does not always result in citizenship.

You are so full of shit your eyes are brown, and if you'd bother to read the act this discussion would not take place. Bye bye,
