Hybrids for Dummies

For a by gone era...

It took a while, but it finally happened – an environmentally friendly car is being released that does not in any way resemble a small fridge and is actually quite cool. Yes, this stunning looker is going to turn some heads.

Austin-based automotive design and manufacturing company Ronn Motor's has built the Scorpion; a hydrogen fuel injected hybrid. It's over at Cool Hunter (where else?). Tons of other cool shit there when you've got a loose twenty.....BTW there is no way to pick up a few gallons of hydrogen so this thing will remain just a thing.

I've been through all this junk fifteen years ago. Turn water into gasoline, electric sportscar (because battries have a hard time moving even two people), hydogen car, synthefuel corporation will replace hydrocarbins in five years (just pour more money down this government rathole). I own a 360 cc, 8 cyl, 5 valves per cylender, four overhead cam (thats forty valves) monster that is luckily to get ten MPG and produces a screaming 400 BHP at 8500 RPM. That is almost two hoursepower per cubic inch, without turbo assist. Of course it is a second car; I have a minivan to get the groceries. Oil is cheap, plentiful, clean, and suits its purpose better than all alternatives. Horsepower baby.
