Jeer Jeer at ol' Notre Dame. They can't recruit, can't score, can't.....well you get it. Was at the USC-Notre Dame last night and from the moment USC lined up it was obvious that they were bigger. Bigger by an extraordinary amount. Turns out that they were faster too, and as if Notre Dame needed another negative factor, USC seemed to know where every Irish play was going at the snap. Notre Dame was so much smaller that I actually felt sorry for them having to face the bigger, quicker, nastier, and apparently better coached USC team. Notre Dame ain't coming back til they hire a coach who can go into the black, Hispanic and Asian ghettos (every 16 year old in American Samoa weighs 350 pounds, has Pere Carrol's cell phone number, and moves to LA) and recruit these nasty monsters. The excuse that Academic Standards at Notre Dame are so high that they can only recruit in chemistry labs is bogus. They are exactly the same as most big conference schools, the only exception is Stanford. One example: they are bragging about signing the best running back in California, one Cierre Wood who is billed as big and fast, as in really really fast. He's played against paper mache' teams and rolled up fantastic stats. Reality caught up with him the other night when a pretty good team held him to around thirty yards, sent him to the sidelines where he cowered on the bench, and on the two occasions that he actually broke free he was tackeled from behind by linemen who caught up with him. So Notre Dame has an over rated runing back who can't stand up to hits. Too bad, legends are fiction.

I tell you what, though. A couple times in the fourth quarter, it sure looked like ND started running in the correct direction for a few plays!! Other than that, they really didn't deserve the 3 points they managed to stick on the scoreboard. This game truly deserves to be called a shutout.
