A more than slightly disturbing observation from reading and listening to conservative talk and press. It is clear as hell that there is an almost concerted effort to smear Obama by any means necessary. Publishing and repeating every right wing nut in any country serves nobody but the losers with bitter dreams of "if only." It looks like the only thing the conservatives and Republicans have to offer is continual bomb throwing, this from a party and philosophy that is ideologically bankrupt and without an idea in the lot of them that might get us out of the current financial meltdown. They offer nothing but conservative bromides like "keep the government out of our affairs," let the markets work, gay marriage is evil, and other bullshit that hints "black is stupid." When those people who are living in glass houses of their own creation toss stones that are so ineffectual they can't even crack their own glass walls we have a zero bunch of jackals who don't have a clue. We all better hope that an Obama presidency is a lot better than the Republican-conservative so called "criticism."

why TF NOT smear obama 24/7? it's precisely what the left has done to bush every second of the last 8 years. stupid bush this; the "kill bush" book; they went after his wife and daughters .....

and all the good folks on the right tut-tutted, and nominated the dipshit mccain. to hell with *that*.

chimpy mc'ostalin wanted the job so bad, he's got it. he's gonna find out he can't make the problem go away by voting "present"; or doing his usual "racism" snivel. he and his gawdawful bitch wife gonna have to take the roughs with the smooths now, and if he - or the left - doesn't like it, too damn bad.

they can go look in the mirror and point fingers.

c'mon, b. hussein. you've already demonstrated your hope & change & intellect for us by naming a hyper-partisan, ultra-corrupt member of the clinton and daley machines to be your COS. what other lies have you got up your sleeve?

I wouldn't be putting too much hopey-changey there,
Howard. Did you catch his first post-election pres-love-in? One slightly direct question regarding taxes and he folded like a wet paper towel. Not good.

I have a lingering suspicion that he's like the Redford character in "The Candidate," a terrific old movie if you haven't seen it, about a guy who ends up nothing but a lost soul after he has won and hasn't a clue about what to do.
