Australian Open Tennis---if you aren't watching it you are missing some of the best tennis ever, and I mean ever. Spectacular on the men's side and exciting well played matches on the women's. I don't know if it is the court surfaces there or the fact that all players are well rested after not playing for two months, but there are no tired legs. Then we have the most boisterous crowds anywhere cheering their nationalist asses off (even a soccer riot outside the stadium), lighting fires in the stands, and making more noise than a super bowl. All this taking place in very big stadiums that are almost 100% sold out. All in all a very good week with some big women's names blown out, but all top seeds remain on the men's side. Then there is the TV coverage that is superb, and what is really good is a portion of each day is devoted to "Technical Tennis" which is an analysis of the game that is really good and interesting. Unlike the bullshit football assholes (this offense cannot take too many third and longs) who have stats, stats, and more stats all of which are useless, the tennis reporters do a hell of a job.
