Oh Shit (again) I've Actually Read It
Yeah, I actually read most of the fucking thing and I guarantee the Republicans are fucked. There are benefits for everyone except veterans, farmers, bankers, and drug addicts. This is a brilliantly structured piece of legislation that actually pits the lower income people in the position of stealing from evil Whitey. The more I read it the more I admired the sheer audacity of the government simply taking over all business. Loans will now be based exclusively on the whims of Al Sharpton. Employee race and sex will be totally balanced without any consideration of competence, and businesses can and will be sued without cause. Satan lurks in the implementation with all the whiners getting face time over their private plights. BUT as I write this there is a growing consensus between left and right that this bill ain't it. Problem one is the banks and nothing can be done til they are fixed and with that fucking kid in charge of the Treasury we wait. And wait. And wait.

Its time to put your money overseas. The hard part is that foreign banks have effed up as much as domestic banks. Its tough to find a bank that is run by real bankers. Not fancy fancy, just plain vanilla banking: take deposits at 3 to 4% and loan at 8%. Boring but safe and ultimately smart as well.
You're right Cuban, the rest of the world's banks are in worse shape than we are. The 250K plus people are looking for a place to hide and there ain't one. Not even gold can hold up if there is no money, it's only good as a barter chip. There may be some Mafia bank in some South American shit hole but as far as I know we are out of places to hide.
