Hey, What's With the Market?
How come it's up? Simple answer: commissions. Check the volume. Over a billion shares bought and sold; you don't think that mom and pop are doing all that volume, do you? Mutual funds have had a ton of redemptions (funds taken out) which means they have less capital to work with. What to do? Churn the fucking accounts, that's what. Get them fucking commissions back. Don't kid yourselves for a moment, somewhere between two and twelve trillion dollars has been lost forever, an entire generation has been frightened out of the market by Wall Street corruption, and the economy gets worse and worse. This "rally" means jack shit. And don't be surprised if European and Asian accounts pull out of American markets forever, because let's face it, our lax law enforcement is responsible for all the losses. Nobody will trust us ever again. And then US corporations are fleeing to lower tax Switzerland and this bodes ill for all investment vehicles in this country. Thanx again Barak. And Chris Cox. And Bush.
